Sorry for the delays on days 6 and 7, y’all! Life with cancer is unpredictable and painful, but I’m back and excited to share these last two days with you!
Day 6: Journaling
Take the time to journal how you feel about yourself. Your opinion determines the actions you take. By uncovering your true opinion of yourself, you can decide whether this serves you or not.
Try answering these questions: What do you think about you? Do you like yourself? What exactly do you like about yourself? If there are parts of yourself that you’re not happy with, write down each one and try to reframe it to something positive. For instance, if you don’t like the fact that you’re very sensitive, write about how being sensitive can help you be a more empathetic person and sensitive to other people’s feelings in addition to your own.
Day 7: Get outside and connect
Leave your phone and get outside and connect with nature. Be mindful of your breath, slow down, take deep breaths and connect. You can go for a walk or just find a bench or spot to sit and take deep breaths. Take a moment to enjoy the sunshine and be aware of your surroundings. You’ll feel more refreshed.
Thank you all so much for taking this journey with me! I hope that you all feel a little more self-love and that you’ll continue down your self love journey even after the challenge is over!
