Welcome back to day 2 of the self-love challenge. In the rush of day-to-day tasks, family obligations, and work, the desire to take time to love yourself is often lost. We could ALL use more self-love, so here’s a 7 day challenge to kick start your self-love journey.
Day 2: Declutter your space.
For me, cluttered and messy surroundings are often a reflection of what’s going on on the inside. I often start small by cleaning kitchen since it’s the room in my house that gives me the most joy. Give it the works: wash the dishes, scrub the sinks and countertops, reorganize your pantry, and tidy up your workspace.
When I really want a cleanse, I’ll take things a step further and declutter my closet. Look at each piece and ask yourself how you feel when you wear it. If the answer is less than great, toss it the donation pile. If you haven’t checked it out yet, The Joy of Tidying Up on Netflix is a great place to get inspiration.
Today’s task: Clean one space in your house. No matter how small. I can promise you, you’ll feel accomplished.
